Fashion Lookbook By Christabel Chua: Create Lasting First Impressions With Tracyeinny

Posted on March 10, 2015 | Category: Fashion

“When a woman says, ‘I have nothing to wear!’, what she really means is, ‘There’s nothing here for who I’m supposed to be today.”  ― Caitlin Moran

In March's fashion feature collaboration with Tampines1, I've put together 4 different looks from Tracyeinny suited for the theme given to me " First Impressions".

First Impressions: At School

The first day at school has always been both exciting and nerve wrecking. Similar to most "first impression" woes, you might be worried about getting too much unwanted attention from the way you dress. I would think that a casual blouse would be a safe choice - That's what I would wear. Pair it with your favourite pair of denim shorts and satchel! Oh yes, remember to smile - You look beautiful like that.

NOAH CASUAL BLOUSE ($26.90), INAYA FLORAL EMBROIDERED SHORTS IN DARK DENIM ($26.90)

First Impressions: His Friends

You want to be comfortable in a situation like this while looking good at the same time. I loved how the pearl top channeled a sense of sophistication while keeping it chic with a pair of printed pants which were extremely comfortable.

BENISA GARDEN PANTS ($32.00), CENDRA PEARL TOP ($28.00)

First Impressions: His Family
In all honesty - Every girl gets the jitters when meeting his folks for the first time. Being afraid that our choice of clothing would be either too provocative or over the top would always be a factor. I can safely say that dresses of this length and coverage would be most ideal - Yes, I took in the fact that it's not advisable to wear clothes which are too skimpy & low-cut. Spice up your outfit with a statement necklace and a wide smile - You'll do just fine.

KENDRA MESH PANEL DRESS ($32.00)

First Impressions: Work

Whilst taking a coffee break (& a breather to calm your nerves) on the first day of work, you would want to look classy and not too flashy. This dusty pink number does the trick for me - Pair it with your favourite watch, accessories and a pair of nude heels.
